No operator can survive today without offering a broad selection of high-quality services. Moreover, any such services, traditional and new ones alike, need to be advertised and sold with a focus on user-specific needs. This means that operators need convenient tools for instant two-way communication with the subscriber. Such tools should also be subscriber-friendly and easy to install on operator site.
Meet Jet Toolbar (JTB), a component of a traffic management package, good for fixed line, mobile, broadband and Wi-Fi networks. Jet Toolbar helps increase customer loyalty, while more extensive use of extra services generates additional revenue for the operator.

Http and https support. Can be used in any type of network, but it especially good in Wi-Fi networks.
Random content selection to be shown in messages. This is great for Wi-Fi networks. For example, pop-up with operator’s logo and tariff options can appear every specified time period and every time it will have random content shown (content can include images, video and text).
Subscriber retargeting. This is great for all types of networks. For example, the rule can be set such that if subscriber clicks on certain message then this subscriber will be shown another message. Another example – if subscriber completes questionnaire, this subscriber will see another message with special coupon.
Subscriber preferences. Subscribers can be allocated to specific groups, based upon sites that they visit. This is different from retargeting because retargeting is based on messages that subscriber clicks on and preferences are based on sites that subscriber visits.
Unique URL can be inserted in individual messages or content from unique URL can be inserted in individual messages. This is great for mobile and fixed-line networks. For example, operator can send individual subscribers personalized messages, with a special unique URL that is related only to each individual subscriber – by clicking on this URL subscribers can be redirected to their own account.
Integration with open RTB platforms (e.g. advertising platforms). This significantly broadens possibilities for operator to monetize on advertising.

Jet Toolbar is based on the enrichment of information exchange between the user and the server with additional HTML elements. It is completely transparent for the user and requires no additional software. Any DPI class system may be used by the Toolbar for traffic classification. PCRF class systems such as Jet Subscriber Manager (JSM) are employed for managing subscribers and their status, as well as for matching network IDs with subscriber IDs.
The added HTML element is a Java script code (JSC) processed by the subscriber’s browser simultaneously with the web page to which it was added. The code provides the necessary content as well as requests the toolbar application server for information to be displayed, including data on the current web page content (e.g. URL of the source page) or on the user agent. The code is also responsible for displaying the widget and its controls, as well as for the generation of response to user commands.
The widget has several system states that can be managed by the subscriber or by the Toolbar application server. The widget and the Java script code are compatible with any computer platform or browser.
Toolbar Application Server responds to JSC requests and interacts with connected operator’s systems (OSS/BSS), as well as with external partners, to receive and format content displayed by the widget in one of the three modes:
